Privacy: what is kept
This page lists every field the site stores, when, and for how long. There is no cookie, no IP address in any table, no user agent, and no account.
The photo
Your photo is resized in your browser and sent once to the reader. It is passed to two models and discarded when they answer. It is not written to disk, a database or a log. If the reader sees a person, a child, a document or medication in the frame, it plans from the food only and the read is excluded from any licensed set.
Every read

| Daily quota hash | A one-way hash of your network address with a salt that changes each day, used to cap reads per day. It cannot be turned back into the address and is useless after midnight UTC. |
| Kind and count | Fridge, freezer or pantry, and how many items were read. |
| Timing and tokens | How long the models took and how much text they used, for cost. |
| Country and landing page | Country as reported by the network, and the first page of your visit. |
Only when you tick the box

Ticked reads can be licensed to research groups and model builders. A fixed share of net receipts is owed to contributors, paid per row licensed, through a payout method announced on this page before the first licence is signed. Infant formula, religious-diet items and medical nutrition are removed from any licensed row. Reads from people under 18 are excluded; the site is for adults.
Every pick
The question or read id, which plan won, your reason if you typed one, the two model ids, the seconds it took, the country, and the visit id. On the compare page, your answer to the one question and age band if given.
Every visit
One row per visit: the first page you landed on, the site that sent you if any, the country, the time.
Retention and deletion
Reads and picks are kept for three years; visits for one year. Deletion on request removes your rows from the tables and from every future delivery to a licensee; copies already delivered are governed by the licence, which requires deletion within 90 days of notice. Send the visit id if you have it, or the time and country of the read, to hello@fridgetonight.com.
What is outside this site
Fonts load from Google Fonts. The check that you are a person is Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs in your browser under Cloudflare's privacy terms. The site is hosted on Cloudflare; the host's own request logs are theirs and are not used by this site.
