fridgetonight

Terms

fridgetonight is free to use. By using it you agree to these terms, written in plain words on purpose.

What you get

A recipe written by software from a photo of your shelf. It can be wrong: it may misread a label, miss an allergen, or write a step that does not work in your kitchen. Read every ingredient and every step before you cook, and treat the avoid list as help, never as a guarantee. Food safety is yours: cook meat through, keep cold things cold, and throw out what smells wrong.

What you give

Your photo, what is read from it, the recipe, your answers and what you do on the site are kept as the privacy page describes. You grant fridgetonight the right to keep that record, use it to run and improve the service, and license it, de-identified, to research groups, model builders and companies in food and retail. There is no payment for it; the service is the exchange.

Who may use it

Adults. Do not photograph people, children, documents or medication; such photos are refused. Do not use the site to send automated traffic or to probe it.

The product pages

Label information on product pages comes from the USDA FoodData Central file as submitted by makers. Packages change; the label in your hand wins.
