Strawberry Banana Yogurt Pots with Granola

A bare-shelf dinner means yogurt becomes dessert tonight. These chilled cups need nothing but a bought granola to turn grocery store yogurt into something that reads as intentional, built in minutes and eaten straight from the glass.

Serves 2. 10 minutes, 5 at the stove.

About 200 calories a serving, 5 g protein, 28 g carbohydrate, 8 g fat. From USDA figures for 100% of the ingredients; amounts are the recipe's.

You need

To buy

  • half cup granola
  • 2 tablespoons honey

From your shelf

  • 1 container strawberry banana lite nonfat yogurt (Kroger)

Staples

  • pinch salt

  1. Divide the yogurt between two glasses or bowls, pouring about two-thirds of the container into each.
  2. Drizzle one tablespoon of honey over each portion and top with one-quarter cup of granola per bowl.
  3. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to eat, no more than thirty minutes, so the granola stays crisp against the soft yogurt.

Note Swap the bought granola for store-bought muesli or crushed pretzels if you prefer. Yogurt keeps sealed in the fridge for the date on the container; granola softens after an hour in yogurt, so add it just before eating. Serve with coffee or tea and fruit on the side to stretch this into a light supper.
