You need

From your shelf

  • one 10 oz box turkey meatballs with spaghetti and marinara sauce (Shoprite)

Staples

  • for pasta water salt
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. While the water heats, mince 2 cloves of garlic. Warm 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a small pan over medium heat, add the garlic, and let it cook gently until golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add the frozen meatballs and spaghetti from the box to the boiling water and stir to separate. Cook until the pasta is tender and the meatballs are heated through, about 10 minutes.
  3. Drain the pasta and meatballs in a colander, reserving a splash of pasta water. Divide between two bowls and drizzle each with the warm garlic oil.

Note Swap jarred marinara and frozen meatballs for the boxed version if you prefer more control over sauce or meatball texture. Leftover helpings keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days; reheat gently with a splash of water. Serve with crusty bread or a green salad to round out the meal.
