You need

To buy

  • 1 lemon

From your shelf

  • 1 lb [450 g] snow crab legs

Staples

  • 4 tablespoons [55 g] butter
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

  1. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Mince 3 cloves of garlic and stir into the butter, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add about 1/4 cup water to the skillet, then arrange 1 pound of snow crab legs in the pan in a single layer. Cover and steam for 12 to 15 minutes, turning the legs halfway through, until they are heated through and the meat is warm.
  3. Transfer the crab legs to a serving dish. Pour the butter sauce over them, season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing.

Note Swap the garlic butter for melted butter with Old Bay seasoning if you prefer. Leftovers keep refrigerated for one day; reheat gently in butter. Serve with crusty bread to soak up the sauce, or with a simple green salad.
