- Heat the Stouffer's mac and cheese pouch according to package directions, stirring as needed, until the pasta is tender and the sauce coats it evenly. This takes about ten minutes.
- Stir in 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 cup of frozen peas, then cook for one more minute until the peas are heated through and the butter is melted in.
- Taste and add salt and pepper as needed. Divide between two bowls and serve at once.
Note Swap the peas for frozen corn or broccoli if you prefer. Leftovers keep covered in the fridge for up to two days; reheat gently with a splash of milk. Serve with a green salad or crusty bread to round out the meal.
