Sausage and peppers pasta with garlic

A straightforward weeknight dinner built on a jar of sausage and pepper sauce that has more than enough flavor on its own. You'll cook pasta and warm the sauce while fresh garlic and a hit of butter round out what's already in the jar. Dinner is ready in twenty minutes.

You need

  • 1 jar, about 24 ounces Italian sausage with peppers and onions pasta sauce (Classico)

Staples

  • 8 ounces pasta
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • to taste salt

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add 8 ounces of pasta and cook until tender, stirring occasionally. While the pasta cooks, mince 2 cloves of garlic.

  3. Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce, tossing to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Divide between two bowls and serve right away.
